Adoptable /// Pet Information
What kinds of adoptables are there and what do they change into?
Please see the Species FAQ.
Why can't I see the special adoptables when I'm logged in?
In order to see the special adoptables, you have to meet the requirements. [See below.]
What are the requirements for the special adoptables?
- Lapsworg: Your pets have to have a total sum of 5,000 levels or more.
- Heraldric: 300 posts to view them and 20,000
krüs per Heraldric.
- Curious Seedling: [Currently Unavailable] To create an account with Subeta. Enter your Valenth username and your special code on this page, and Curious Seedling appears on the page to adopt.
How many pets can I have?
Currently, there's a 500 adoptable limit.
What if I adopted a pet before registering?
You can technically still keep them by hanging onto the codes, but you can't add them into your account. Also, you can always just adopt another pet and use the same name.
How do I change my pet's name?
You can change your pet's name by buying an Identity Distortion Collar in the shop.
Why are some of the unlimited adoptables gone if they're supposed to be unlimited?
Don't worry about this. Most unlimited adoptables will not disappear permanently, and they'll be back in the future!
What if I don't want my pet anymore?
Go up to the top of the page, click on 'Your Adoptions', then select 'Release' under the pet you don't want anymore. If you do this, there's no way to get him/her back! Make sure you think about it!
How can I obtain the limited editions?
Limited editions are available only for short periods of time. They are sometimes placed at the disposal for special occasions, or within the framework of an intrigue. When the limited editions are available, or when they are reprocessed, is with the discretion of the admins of Valenth. You can take up to 5 limited editions of each species. That makes it possible to keep their limited number, and to prevent people of hoarding a great number for trade. You can obtain more on the trades, however.
How can I obtain faction adoptables?
You have to gain reputation for them. See the section 'Factions /// Reputation' section for more details.
What are "alts"/"shinies"?
Alts are the adoptables with special colors. Any creature adopted after August 29, 2009 has a random chance to be differently coloured. All adoptables have at least one alt, and some have two or more. (There exist two exceptions: Pandaprrbs and Lab Gremlins. Because they already exist in several colors, they do not have a alts.)
How can I obtain Cash Shop adoptables?
You must buy credits from the Cash Shop. You can use PayPal, PayByCash to see other payment options for your country, or Ultimate Game Card. Each adoptable costs 250 credits. If you do not manage to buy the Cash Shop adoptables yourself, you could obtain some from trades. The Cash Shop adoptables are available for one month, then they replaced by new types. But, you don't have to worry if you missed one of them, they are not gone forever. The Cash Shop adoptables will be available again in the future.
Why do Pandaprrbs all have the same first form? How can I make the difference between the colors?
Pandaprrbs come in many different colors. There will be always at least one type on the page to adopt, although the variety changes each week. You cannot tell what a color it is, it is supposed to be a surprise!

Will feeding my pet certain foods affect their growth?
You bet! Life based foods will turn your pet Vital, plain will turn them Natural, and tainted foods will turn them Tainted. You can feed your pet certain foods, depending on how you want him/her to turn out. What do the moods mean?
- Eager: Vital
- Calm: Neutral
- Moody: Tainted
When will my pet grow?
Your pet will grow into its beta stage after 101 clicks, and into its omega stage after 501 clicks. Note: Clicking on your pet 100 times in one day will not cause it to grow faster. Yes, it will feed them, but it will not increase their level. Basically, you can only level them up once a day. If you really want your pets to grow, have other people click them.
How often can you feed a pet before it is registered again?
Once every 24 hours.
What is feed rigging and is it allowed?
Feed rigging is when you alter your adoptable's code so when they're clicked on, they're automatically fed the food of your choosing, and yes, it's allowed.
Shop Assortments /// Trinkets
As you can probably tell, the shop is divided into two parts. Items under the "Aether's Apothecary and Assortment" section make it possible to modify certain aspects of your adoptable. Items under the "Aether's Travel Agency" section lets your adoptable travel, i.e., adds a pretty background to your adoptable.
Trinkets are items that can be placed on your adoptable for decoration. They cannot be seen on the image itself, but it can be viewed from the adoptable's feed page. Some can be bought in the shop, others are obtained from factions or through events, or even as prizes.
When you purchase an item from Aether's Apothecary and Assortment, you can use it in your inventory. From there, select the adoptable you want the item applied to from a dropdown list.
Here are the effects caused by the items from Aether's Apothecary and Assortment:

Faction /// Reputation
What are the factions?
In Valenth, Factions are powerful organizations which significantly influence the world in a certain capacity. There exist many factions in the world, but the players are authorized to join four of the more influential: Somnambulist project, Firestarters, Silent Rose Organization, and the Court.
- Lawful: Founded upon aspects of ancient Aeneski tribal culture and teachings, the Firestarters exist to serve the natural world via conservation as well as a more militant approach against corruption and other aggressive threats. Of greatest concern are the Fatis Mirajin's mutagenic effect upon Valenth and all forms of necromancy, though faction members frown upon more simple issues such as waste of natural resources in the name of modern convenience. While elves and humans make up the brunt of the faction, its ranks also include more exotic creatures such as smallfae and djinn.
- Neutral: While on the surface the Court serve as ambassadors and entertainers for all willing societies of Valenth, their exact motives are not quite so clear. Unlike other factions, true Courtesans are born, not recruited; the title is reserved for members of the Erosion dragonflight. However, in recent times, they have begun to allow people of other races to assist them off the field.
- Neutral: The only joinable faction founded by a mortal, the Somnambulist Project was created to serve as a grand hub for discovery, uniting researchers, scholars and scientists throughout the world. Focused on gathering information about the world and the things within it above all else, the Somnambulist Project is a neutral party, content to watch events unfold with an unbiased eye.
- Chaotic: The Silent Rose Organization began as an exclusive society for practicing scientists who valued experimental freedom and secrecy, core values that endure to this day. Where the Somnambulists gather information and artifacts for study and display, the Silent Rose are practicing scientists in fields from medicine and genetics to robotics and elective surgery. Rose docs are often considered the best in their fields, but the ethics of their practices are often questionable-- in their eyes, a trivial price to pay in exchange for groundbreaking scientific advancements.
There are several reasons to choose a particular faction. There are exclusive forums, and special rewards, such as trinkets, backgrounds and special adoptables - try to choose the best one for you! The majority of the factions require you to gain their reputation before you can join - and once you joined one, defection is not easy! In order to join a faction and to receive the rewards, first of all you have need to increase your reputation with it! Each of the four factions give the reputation in various manners, via the food of the acceptable ones.
How to join to a faction?
Go to the reputation page to see your points with each faction. If you are acceptable with a faction, the words "Join the [name of faction]" will appear for you to click. Somnambulist Project can be joined instantly. The Court, Silent Rose, and Firestarters, however, require you to have at least 150 reputation points before they will allow for you to join.
What are the rewards for the factions, and how much reputation do they need?
Factions promotion (from October 7, 2009)
- Level 0 - To join a Faction - 150 points to join (free for Somnambulist Project)
[Rewards to listen in the order of Court, Firestarters, Somnambulist, Silent Rose] You must join a faction to start getting rewards from there! So better start feeding!
- Level 1 - Faction Trinket* - 500 points
Welcome with the faction! The trinket of your faction is your first reward to adhere to it. (Click on the bond "Claim Trinket!" on the reputation page to obtain it. Caution! You cannot obtain more than one of the factions trinkets. If you change faction, you will not be able to receive their trinket!)
- Level 2 - Background of Faction - 2,000 points
Each faction has its own special background for your adoptable! (Each background costs 3,500 in the shop.)
- Level 3 - Acceptable of Faction #1 - 10,000 points
It is official, you were well received in the faction! Each faction gives accesses to the special adoptables for its members... they can also be offered in the trades, but good luck to find like that! (Each adoptable costs 20,000 to adopt.)
[* = The trinkets starting from beta factions were withdrawn - so keep yours if you have one of them, it is now a special object which you will find nowhere elsewhere never again!]
How do you gain reputation points?
The system of reputation rests on the food of the acceptable ones. There exists a list of reputation distribution of food here. (Created by Ruto.)
Can I leave a faction and adhere to another?
Yes. However, when you join with a faction, your reputation points for the other factions are reset to zero. Thus, you will have to gain points all over again if you wish to move to another faction and meet their requirement. It is preferable to choose a faction and not change. In the future, there will be rewards for higher levels of reputation.
